Our objectives for Phase Two are as follows:
- Develop a range of options for the future provision of community services
- Obtain agreement with stakeholders on the preferred option(s)
- Develop outcome-based service specifications with our stakeholders.
In order to achieve this, Phase Two will be split into two distinct sections.
Phase 2a – May to August 2015
We carried out a survey of front line staff across the health and care sector in Bath and North East Somerset to hear their ideas about how community services could be delivered. The results from this will be published on this website shortly. We also carried out further engagement with children and young people including the Primary and Young Parliaments in June.
The centerpiece of Phase Two was a day-long event at Bath Racecourse on Thursday 21 May where we used process mapping techniques to identify the key nodes and links required to deliver more integrated community services. This event brought together expertise from a wide range of service users, carers, commissioners, GPs, front line staff and voluntary sector organisations and the output from the event will be published on this website shortly.
Phase 2b – September and October 2015
We used all the feedback we collected from Phase One and Phase 2a to develop some draft proposals for how community services could be organised in the future.
We are now in a period of formal consultation where everyone in Bath and North East Somerset is invited to have their say on the proposals.
The consultation is open until 5pm on Friday 30 October and there are a number of ways you can get involved:
